We're building soccer fields, schools, healthcare clinics, subsidizing teacher salaries, employing nurses, partnering with local churches, working with Heart to Heart International, providing training for local entrepreneurs, supporting and doing life with local communities in some of the most remote areas of the Western Hemisphere.
These projects are right now, literally, helping hundreds of Haitian friends who deal with very real, 3rd-world problems every single day.
And, in the middle of all this work, Haitian friends are literally helping us. These relationships are beginning to help us think that maybe we are the project.
2018 was another amazing year for LQVE. We continued to provide salaries to support ongoing healthcare in two communities in the S/E portion of Haiti. Additionally we subsidized education needs in one community. And, our latest initiative was to help provide training for small business owners and entrepreneurs who are already seeing their own money (not ours, but their money) growing! Without healthcare, education, and wealth creation the entire region is in jeopardy! You can help us by giving now. We also worked closely with our friends at MidAmerica Nazarene University, to provide a healthcare clinic in the community of Bel Air. (photo above.) The clinic dramatically improves the quality of life for Haitians in this community.
In 2019 we’ll be doing more of the same. MidAmerican Nazarene University will be sending a team of students down in March. We’ll be supporting them, all the above mentioned things, plus improving the soccer field in Cascade Pichon, as well as expanding our Summer soccer tournaments. You should be a part of the story. Buy a shirt, or a book, say some prayers, or invest your time!
